Why Choose Okannabis?

UNVEILING THE BENEFITS OF CBD

CBD has been found to modulate the activity of receptors and elevate levels of anandamide. Anandamide, named after the Sanskrit word for joy (ananda), is an endocannabinoid recognized as the 'bliss chemical'.

Cannabis, commonly known by its Latin name Cannabis sativa, has historically been classified into at least two variants, indica and sativa, each believed to exhibit distinct characteristics in terms of origin, stature, and leaf structure. Although hybridization and selective breeding have made it challenging to generalize about these categories in relation to their effects, discernible differences between the two types are acknowledged.
Indica
- Generally higher in THC, also contains CBD
- Often rich in terpenes like myrcene
- Originated in present-day Pakistan and Afghanistan, particularly in the Hindu Kush mountain region
Sativa
- Generally lower in THC, bred for industrial hemp products
- Often high in terpenes like limonene
- Originated in present-day Southeast Asia, and equatorial regions in South and Central America
Hybrid
The majority of strains available today are hybrids, a genetic cross between indica and sativa plants. They are purposely bred to manifest specific traits inherited from their parent plants.

For the safest experience, always consume cannabis in a secure environment with trusted individuals, commence with products low in THC, and start with minimal quantities.
Individuals with no prior exposure to cannabis are advised to begin with very small amounts and cease immediately if undesirable or unacceptable side effects arise (e.g., disorientation, dizziness, loss of coordination, agitation, anxiety, rapid heartbeat, chest pain, low blood pressure/feeling faint, depression, hallucinations).
Choose products with low THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol), the psychoactive cannabinoid, and an equal or higher amount of CBD (cannabidiol). THC induces the high and intoxication in cannabis, whereas CBD does not cause intoxication. Some evidence suggests that CBD may alleviate certain intoxicating effects of THC when used in cannabis with a higher CBD to THC ratio. Additionally, CBD is under study for potential therapeutic applications such as inflammation and seizure treatment.
Combining alcohol and cannabis can amplify intoxicating effects, heightening the risk of harm or injury. Refrain from mixing alcohol and cannabis, especially in safety-sensitive situations.
Smoking cannabis is discouraged due to increased susceptibility to respiratory infections or chronic cough. Refrain from smoking or vaporizing cannabis around children. If consumption is chosen, consider alternative methods like ingesting oils or capsules.
Moderate usage should be observed to prevent physical dependency and cannabis use disorder. Individuals with a family history of mental illness or other mental disorders may be at higher risk. Anyone concerned about cannabis use, whether personal or for someone else, should consult a medical professional.
Store cannabis securely and out of reach of children, adolescents, and pets.
Remember, what works for one may not work for another. Educate yourself and engage in careful experimentation to navigate your unique path.
Myth Buster
It is a misconception that cannabis use cannot lead to disorders. Regular, frequent use can result in physical dependency and cannabis use disorder. Those with a family history of mental illness or other mental disorders may be at greater risk. If worried about cannabis use, seek advice from a healthcare provider.
